Somatic Attachment Sessions for trauma recovery, resilience building, and self-awareness
How do Somatic Attachment Sessions Work?
Your first session is an hour and a half so we have time and space to talk through your story, answer questions, and establish a relationship before we explore more deeply.
Occasionally, a session may be a standalone experience to process something that is presenting in the moment. But more often, the benefit of this work is cumulative. While some sessions may provide great insights and relief, others will be more subtle as we work together to build safety and trust to learn how your system processes information.
“Courtney is the best practitioner I’ve had: she’s a good listener, compassionate, and has lots of strategies for helping me along and seeing other perspectives. I like the way she engages me and meets me where I am, and it all comes from her heart. She validates me, and I feel safe with her”.

My son had a traumatic experience of almost being hit by a car. We scheduled a session with Courtney to work through it. She immediately put my son at ease. She connected with him in a way that was genuine, warm, and playful. She sensed his openness and went at the speed he was comfortable. Courtney used movement, storytelling, play and visualization to help him move through the experience. She debriefed with me, and cued me into his behaviors helping me to understand more about his brain and body. Prior to the session, my son had been obsessively talking about the car experience with fear. In the days and weeks following the session, he hardly mentioned it and when he did there was a lightness to how he talked about it. Courtney is a guide, educator, and wise woman. She will hold your family and child with the utmost care back into a state of greater security and love.
